Hey, girl! How have you been fur the past ten years? Well, how have “me, myself, and I,” been doing for these past ten years? Sit down, and tell the waiter to “Keep ’em coming.” We have a bunch to catch up on.
The last time we saw each other was around ten years ago, to the day. We said we’d go live life and then meet up at our favorite spot, Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles, the one on Sunset and Gower, so we can people watch too.
Where do we start? I’d say that the one thing that will be challenging for you, is trust. Your trust, loyalty, sanity, and love will all be tested during this time period. The best thing to do is, go slow, ask questions, and stay close to God.
Friends will come and go. New friends or acquaintances will seem to add flavor and knowledge to your life, so take notice. They will also leave you once their season has ended, and it is during this time, youth must exercise restraint and patience and just let them leave.
The life you built after you said “I Do,” is not real. There are many deceptions going on, so, you must stay focused. There will be a few scenarios for you to look out for. Some include, but are not limited to the fact, that your mate ‘Still’ had a wife when you both married. Deception from day one. “The Nerve of Some People.”
However, the most rewarding event will take place at noon on Friday, March 27, 2015, in Phoenix, Arizona. Your (our) oldest daughter, you know, the one that is the tougher more aggressive version of you. Yes, well through all the past deception, she pushes through and will be graduating from college tomorrow with her Bachelor’s degree.
The other awesome part is that no matter the drama your ex tried to add to your life. Please be assured that he will try very hard to break you, even more than he’s done in earlier years. Your three children still adore you. What could be wrong if you have the love from your kids?
All in all, it’s life. It’s not a great life, however, it is far from bad, just different. Enjoy yourself, and just pay close attention to the signs, that way you (we) can avoid as much heartache as possible.
The fun thing to look forward too is when you stop the dysfunction around you, it seems as if, life begins.
You (we) will love our 40’s more than our 30’s.
There’s so much more to tell you, in short, just live life unapologetically
