Today there is a shimmer of hope. My mother moved into a Nursing/Rehab facility a few weeks ago and today will be her first day that she will try eating with the other residents in the dining room. I am excited and proud of her.
My mother suffers from Dementia, blindness, and osteoarthritis. It is a true struggle for her day to day but I am thankful that she is only ten minutes away from me so I can visit her as often as possible.
But, there is a shimmer of hope and faith in the life we have. So, love your parents and give them the respect and honor that they deserve. They are not perfect, by a long shot, but neither are we as their children.
We must remember that there is no rule book to parenting, so there is no right or wrong path. However, if we do the best we can with what we have, God will handle the rest. We must believe this in order to LiveFree & LoveOnPurpose.
